“New Hua Hin flight to Khon Kaen”
Daily Hua Hin has been in contact with a representative of Air Asia, and we have been told that at least 3 new routes will be added this year from Hua Hin. It has to be noted that the source wants to stay anonymous as it has not been released by Air Asia in an official and public statement.
Direct flights by Air Asia are expected to fly from Chiang Mai, Phuket and Khon Kaen from/to Hua Hin, of which we have received additional confirmation that Khon Kaen is aimed for 2nd or 3rd quarter of this year 2018, as Air Asia was very impressed by Khon Kaen Airport after having launched direct flights from it to Chiang Mai and Hat Yai on top of the existing Khon Kaen – Bangkok route. Khon Kaen Air Port is considered by Air Asia as the major destination airport hub of the North-Eastern (Isan) region of Thailand being only 30-45 minutes away by car to the province borders of Udon Thani, Maha Sarakham, Chaiyaphum and Kalasin.
No additional details have been released. We are currently looking forward for an official statement by Air Asia Thailand regarding the new routes from/to Hua Hin, although our source expect this to happen in this 2nd quarter which includes the frequency of the upcoming flights.
